Job summary

Phillips 66 is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic (Machinist/Millwright) at the Ferndale Refinery to maintain rotating equipment, perform repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance in an industrial refinery setting.

You will troubleshoot pumps, turbines, gearboxes, and compressors, read drawings and P&IDs, and work both in the shop and in the field. Strong safety discipline and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to obtain a TWIC if selected.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, travel, work overtime, and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rotating equipment and perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot pumps, turbines, gearboxes, and compressors to diagnose issues.
• Perform repairs and overhauls to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Take field measurements and interpret readings for repairs.
• Machine sleeves, bushings, and wear rings as needed.
• Read manuals, drawings, and P&IDs to guide repairs and upgrades.
• Work independently or in teams, in shop or field environments.
