Job summary

Bay West invites applications for a CDL Equipment Operator II at the Saint Paul refinery. The role combines hands-on operation of vacuum trucks and other refinery support equipment with active participation in field operations, safety meetings, and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License Class B or A required.
• Tanker and HAZMAT endorsement helpful, but provided to the right candidate.
• Active 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate helpful, but provided to the right candidate.
• TWIC card helpful, but provided to the right candidate.
• Basic computer skills (email, MS Office).
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Reliable transportation 24/7.
• Experience operating construction equipment (excavator, loader, skid steer) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites and operate vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks and other equipment.
• Safely operate specialized industrial equipment including liquid vacuum trucks and other refinery support gear.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and fluid checks.
• Label and manifest shipments per DOT regulations and company policies.
• Interact with customers and provide excellent service.
• Maintain certifications required by DOT and OSHA.
• Assist field crews with project setup, execution and breakdown.
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings and site safety requirements.
• Input field data and generate logs.
