Job summary

Bay West is seeking a CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team at the refinery site in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This hands-on role involves operating vacuum trucks and related equipment, performing inspections, and supporting maintenance and turnaround projects.

You will participate in safety meetings, maintain logs, and interact with customers while adhering to DOT and company safety programs. The position requires flexibility for shift work, travel to sites, and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5–7 years of related experience.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Active 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate helpful but provided to right candidate.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain one.
• Basic computer skills and ability to travel.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, overtime and extended refinery outages.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites and operate vacuum trucks, roll-off trucks, and other company equipment.
• Safely operate specialized industrial equipment including liquid vacuum trucks and hydro excavation gear.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report deficiencies daily.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Label and manifest shipments per DOT regulations and company policies.
• Interact with customers and provide superior customer service at all times.
• Maintain certifications per DOT, OSHA, and safety programs.
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings and JSAs and follow site safety rules.
• Assist field crews with setup, execution, and breakdown of equipment.
• Perform hazardous waste operations and ensure proper cleanup.
• Develop summaries, generate logs, and document fieldwork.
