Job description

**Job Description:**

This position demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate, safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care within the scope of their assigned practice. The role involves patient care and developing effective, professional relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

**This position will work normal clinical hours, Monday - Friday. It is a fully remote position. Applicants must be licensed in CO or MT to qualify.**

**Essential Functions:**

1. Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interactions. Makes evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use, ensuring therapies are safe, appropriate, and cost-effective, and medications are accurately dispensed.
2. Oversees and participates in ensuring medications are prepared and delivered timely, stored securely, and appropriate for stability and workflow.
3. Provides counseling to patients, promoting medication education and adherence, and ensuring respectful, professional service.
4. Completes regulatory and compliance training, maintains clear documentation, and stays compliant with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
5. Supervises interns, technicians, and support staff as required, providing clinical consultation and clarification to healthcare professionals.
6. Proactively solves problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
7. Identifies process improvements and safety hazards, taking appropriate actions, and contributes ideas in departmental meetings.
8. Supports organizational directives, including clinical, compliance, operational, and customer service goals.
9. Supports pharmacy leadership initiatives at local and enterprise levels.

**Qualifications:**

**Minimum:**

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (education verified).
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Effective communication, management, and project skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable.

**Preferred:**

• Experience in integrated healthcare systems.
• Board Certification.
• Health System Residency.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Visual and manual dexterity for reading, manipulating supplies, and computer use.
• Frequent communication with providers, colleagues, and patients.

**Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 0 (hourly rate $59.86 - $87.98, dependent on experience)
