Job description

Job Description:

This position involves the consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical care within the scope of practice. Responsibilities include patient care and fostering professional relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

Work Schedule and Location:

This is a fully remote position working Monday through Friday. Applicants must be licensed in CO or MT.

Essential Functions:

  1. Review patients' medication orders for interactions, duplication, appropriateness, and make evidence-based interventions to optimize therapy, ensuring safety, appropriateness, and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Oversee or participate in the preparation and delivery of medications, ensuring they are stored securely and appropriately.
  3. Provide patient counseling, promote medication adherence, and ensure respectful, professional service.
  4. Complete regulatory and compliance training, maintain clear documentation, and stay compliant with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  5. Supervise interns, technicians, and support staff as required, and provide clinical consultation to healthcare professionals.
  6. Proactively address problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
  7. Identify and suggest improvements to processes to enhance patient satisfaction and safety, and participate in departmental meetings.
  8. Support organizational directives related to clinical practice, compliance, operations, standardization, and customer service.
  9. Contribute to pharmacy leadership initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (verified).
  • Current pharmacy license in practice state, with dispensing authority for controlled substances.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy laws.
  • Effective communication, management, and project skills.
  • Immunization certification if relevant.
  • Preferred: experience in integrated healthcare, board certification, or health system residency.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for reading and assessing information.
  • Verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and patients.
  • Manual dexterity for handling supplies and equipment, including frequent computer use.

Location: Supply Chain Center, Midvale, Utah

Work Hours: 0 hours scheduled weekly (hourly rate $59.86 - $87.98, dependent on experience)
