Job description

**Job Description:**

This position demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate, safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care within the scope of their assigned practice. It is responsible for patient care and developing effective, professional relationships within the multidisciplinary team.

**This position works normal clinical hours, Monday - Friday. It is fully remote. Applicants must** **be licensed in CO or MT to qualify.**

**Essential Functions**

1. Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness, and drug-drug interactions. Implements evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use, ensuring therapies are safe, appropriate, and cost-effective, and medications are accurately dispensed.
2. Oversees and/or participates in ensuring medications are prepared and delivered timely, stored securely, and appropriate for stability and workflow.
3. Provides counseling to patients, promoting medication education and adherence, ensuring respectful and professional service.
4. Completes all regulatory and compliance training, maintaining clear documentation. Ensures adherence to state and federal laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
5. Supervises and directs activities of interns, technicians, and support staff as required. Offers clinical consultation and clarification to other health professionals.
6. Proactively solves problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
7. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and safety hazard mitigation, participating in departmental meetings with feedback and ideas.
8. Supports organizational directives, including clinical, compliance, business operations, standardization, and customer service.
9. Supports pharmacy leadership initiatives at local and enterprise levels.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum:**

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (education verified).
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws.
• Effective communication, management, and project skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable.

**Preferred:**

• Experience in an integrated healthcare system.
• Board Certification.
• Health System Residency.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Visual acuity to read information, labels, and monitors; assess customer needs.
• Verbal communication with providers, colleagues, and patients.
• Manual dexterity for handling supplies and equipment, including computer use.

**Work Hours:**

Zero scheduled weekly hours; hourly rate $59.86 - $87.98 depending on experience.
