Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Reference Test Clerk in Tampa, FL. The position involves preparing specimens, ensuring accurate test requests, and supporting multiple lab areas. Work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 am to 11:30 am with rotating weekends.

Reliable attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential. Minimum qualification is a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus several months of specimen processing or lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Send test requests to proper location and release test results.
• Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiries.
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.
• Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving.
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Reference Test Clerk - Tampa, FL

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3:00 am to 11:30 am with rotating weekend.

Job Responsibilities

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
