Job summary

The South Bend Clinic in South Bend, IN is hiring a Referral Specialist for the Urology department. The role is full-time at Eddy Street Campus, 211 N. Eddy Street, South Bend, IN 46617, with Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedules.

You will review and schedule referrals, obtain necessary insurance referrals, and maintain strong relationships with contacts while upholding HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior computer experience and ability to navigate in systems required.
• Excellent phone communication skills; strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Prefer previous procedure scheduling with knowledge of insurance requirements and medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and schedules all incoming new patient referrals.
• Obtains insurance referrals as necessary.
• Maintains good working relationships with all contacts.
• Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency to perform job functions.
• Adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate.
