Job summary

The South Bend Clinic in South Bend, IN is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant in Orthopedics to join our collaborative team. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in orthopedics or are new graduates, licensed as PA or NP, and ready to provide high-quality patient care.

You will perform skin exams, order tests, collaborate with supervising physicians, manage patient care plans, and counsel patients on treatment options.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and national certification (ANCC).
  • Current state licensure as Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse and RN in Indiana.
  • CPR (BLS) certification.
  • Active Mid-level Practitioner CSL and DEA license may be required depending on prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive skin examinations, conduct and interpret diagnostic testing, develop care plans.
  • Orders diagnostic testing, skin biopsies, laboratory, x-ray, and other non-invasive tests and procedures.
  • Initiate collaboration with supervising physicians and referrals when issues exceed scope of practice.
  • Maintain communication with referring physicians while continuing to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Prescribe medications within scope of practice with physician oversight and necessary CSL/DEA license.
