Job summary

This full-time, day-shift role involves coordinating workflows, training staff, liaising with external offices and providers, and ensuring timely, accurate referrals in line with department guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office or billing is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a referrals department/position required; 3+ years preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of patient billing preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills and proficiency with Windows-based systems; accuracy and dependability required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of the central referrals department in the absence of the Supervisor; provide leadership to staff.
• Collaborate with management to ensure workflow, productivity and department standards; train new staff and liaison with external offices, providers, and staff.
• Serve as a resource for internal and external customers; maintain reports and statistics; ensure accurate and timely referrals per guidelines.
