Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services seeks a Referral Management Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to coordinate specialty care referrals within a military healthcare setting at Columbus AFB, MS. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing and current BLS certification.
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience within the last 3 years.
• Experience interpreting medical necessity criteria or utilization review guidelines.
• Working knowledge of referral management processes and healthcare information systems.

Responsibilities

• Review, coordinate, and manage specialty care referrals from initiation through completion with TRICARE compliance.
• Verify eligibility, demographics, and obtain missing information; schedule appointments per access-to-care guidelines.
• Educate patients on referral processes and pre-appointment instructions; act as a clinical resource for questions.
• Collaborate with providers, case managers, and network partners to facilitate referrals and continuity of care.
• Monitor referral activity, maintain records, and generate referral reports for timely completion.
• Perform first-level clinical reviews of referrals and participate in quality improvement activities.
