Prosser Memorial Health is seeking a part-time Referral Coordinator to manage insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations for outgoing specialist visits, procedures, and testing.
You will ensure all referrals are authorized and scheduled, coordinate appointments, communicate with patients, and register new patients, while collaborating with other departments to provide complete records in electronic format.
PT, 40 hrs/pp, 0.5 FTE; varies as scheduled.
Responsible for checking insurance benefits and obtaining prior authorizations for outgoing specialist visits, procedures, and testing. Ensuring all incoming referrals for office visits, procedures, and testing have been authorized and scheduled. Additionally, the referral coordinator’s responsibilities include appointment coordination, patient communication, and registering patients.Will work together with other departments and/or organizations to assure all necessary patient information is provided and/or obtained, and in electronic format whenever possible.Ensures all patient referrals are monitored for loop closure; determine patients attended appointments or not and consultation notes have been received or sent.
