Hiring Range $18.90 - $24.60/Hourly

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the scheduling of patient appointments with specialists, scheduling tests at appropriate facilities, coordinating completion for insurance mandated referrals and authorizations prior to the date of service.
• Coordinates appointment scheduling and obtains timely insurance referrals/authorizations to ensure quality patient care.
• Educates patient regarding protocol for tests/appointments.
• Keeps up to date on referral criteria by reviewing updates from insurance carriers and attending training.
• Recommends to office manager any process improvements needed to improve quality of service.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Processes physician and patient requests for tests and referrals in a timely manner.
• Responds appropriately and timely to patient calls.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, (Required)
• Experience: 1 year Medical office experience (Required)
