Banner Health is seeking a Referral Specialist for the Digestive Institute in Mesa, AZ. This Part-time role coordinates referral orders, schedules specialty appointments, and tracks follow-up to close care gaps within primary care settings.

As a BSS team member, you will liaise with patients, providers, and payors, ensuring accurate information for authorizations and timely communications. A high school diploma and one year of experience in medical/healthcare are required, with HIPAA knowledge

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of direct patient interaction/experience in medical or healthcare related industry.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and strong customer service skills.

Aufgaben

• Schedules appointments for specialty physician services and diagnostic testing per provider request.
• Acts as a liaison between patients, providers and staff for referral and follow up needs.
• Provides clinical information for payor authorization and prior to services being rendered.
• Tracks referrals at 30/60/90 day intervals and follows up with patients.
• Collaborates with outside referral sources and community resources.
