• Schedule appointments and follow up on outstanding referrals.
• Track referral status to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate referral information and updates to patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Identify and resolve referral issues or delays.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, front office teams, and providers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.

Position Summary

The Referral Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient referrals, ensuring timely communication between providers, insurance companies, and specialty offices, and helping patients navigate the referral process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting.
