Job summary

SouthCoast Health in Savannah, GA is seeking a Referrals Specialist to support care coordination for patients and act as liaison between SouthCoast and community providers.

You will obtain referral orders, schedule appointments within 2-3 business days, run QA reports, and maintain communication with clinical staff while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Minimum one year in a medical office and knowledge of medical terminology are required. Competitive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with other projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Referrals Specialist

Department: Family Practice/ Internal Medicine
Location: 330 Benfield Drive, Savannah, GA

Provide support for providers that include care coordination for assigned patients, including information and referrals. Act as a liaison between SouthCoast and other health care providers in the community.

Qualifications :

• Ability to exercise professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel, patients and patients' families.
  
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work cooperatively as member of the medical office's team.
• Ability to respond to stressful/emergency situations in a calm and effective manner.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures related to referrals.

Responsibilities:

Education/ Experience :
