Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge is seeking a Referral Coordinator to support outgoing referrals and patient flow. You will handle electronic referrals, verify scheduling, and ensure documentation from specialist visits is uploaded accurately.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years’ experience in medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of patient registration process highly preferred.
• Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and communication skills and to adhere to established goals and deadlines.
• ICD-9/10 and CPT coding a plus.
