Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years' experience in the healthcare field including one year experience in patient services.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local insurance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitors templates for appointment availability.
• Assists in expansion of referral department through orientation and training of new team members.
• Schedules appointments per clinic guidelines.
• Audits referral records as needed.
• Obtains referral authorizations from insurance carriers and relays determinations to patient and provider.
• Resolves pre-authorization and registration issues prior to appointments.
• Contacts patients per protocol.
• Maintains referral resources and ensures timely referrals.
• Completes documentation in EPIC and follows SOPs.
