Job summary

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, a Tower Health partner, seeks a Referral and Authorization Specialist in Philadelphia to process referrals and authorizations for providers in the region, ensuring timely access to care.

You will coordinate care between departments, schedule appointments, support registration, and maintain accurate records; this role requires strong organizational and communication skills, medical terminology familiarity, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Experience in healthcare or referrals/authorizations preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparation/completion of referrals, authorizations, scheduling appointments, coordinating care between departments/facilities and registration back-up for the department.
