Job summary

Page Mechanical Group, Inc. seeks a Referral Coordinator to support efficient patient care by handling referral management, data entry, and communication with providers, staff, patients and families.

Under supervision, you will ensure confidentiality, maintain accurate records, and support operations with timely referrals and reporting. A high school diploma and 2–3 years in a medical/insurance setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in medical or insurance settings.
• Knowledge of scheduling appointments and computerized scheduling systems.
• Knowledge of patient service principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Maintain EMR/PM and referral database by entering data.
• Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
• Establish entry priorities.
• Process patient and account documents by reviewing data for deficiencies.
• Enter patient data by keyboard or optical scanner.
• Verify data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
• Coordinate with Wellmed for non-tier-one referrals.
• Communicate with medical staff to triage stat referrals.
• Oversee referrals pool and eFax box.
• Provide weekly referral counts and stats.
• Travel as required and protect patient confidentiality.
