The Intake and Referral Specialist (Link Coordinator) is the agency's first point of contact for individuals, families, and professionals seeking support in a fast‑paced behavioral health environment. This call‑center role is primarily remote and requires exceptional customer service, strong compassionate, person‑centered listening, and effective problem‑solving skills.
The Link Coordinator responds to high‑volume inquiries with empathy and accuracy, ensuring each person feels heard and is guided toward the most appropriate services. This role collaborates closely with Spurwink programs and staff to coordinate smooth, timely referrals and uphold a high standard of care.
The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
This position has hybrid work opportunities for Maine and New Hampshire residents only.
HS diploma or GED required, some college experience is preferred. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Must have experience with electronic databases, electronic communication, and personal computers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Electronic Health Records preferred. Must be highly adaptive, organized and able to respond to disruptions while completing essential duties. Must show initiative and good problem‑solving skills.
