Job summary

Spurwink in Portland, ME, seeks a Clinical Support Specialist to support our CCBHC clinical staff. The role involves data entry, client outreach, maintaining spreadsheets, and assisting with contracts and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry into EMR including enrollments, transfers, discharges, demographics and insurance/billing information.
• Outreach to individuals seeking services.
• Scan or enter required documentation into the EMR.
• Enter admission, billing and clinical information in external databases for multiple services.
• Monitor staff authorizations and address unbillable events.
• Perform chart audits to ensure requisite documents are present.
• Provide notices to staff when paperwork or case extensions are due or missing.
• Process time-sensitive records requests.

Job description

Spurwink is hiring a Clinical Support Specialist to work with our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Portland. This individual will provide administrative support to our clinical staff by performing data entry, client outreach, developing, and maintaining spreadsheets, assisting staff with contract and licensing requirements, and much more!

This position has a Monday through Friday schedule and pays $18.00-$22.00/per hour.

DUTIES:

• Perform data entry into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) including enrollments, transfers, discharges, demographic information, and insurance/billing information for all services in the region.
• Outreach to individuals seeking services at Spurwink.
• Scan or enter other required documentation into the EMR.
• Enter admission, billing, and clinical information in external data bases for multiple services, including Registrations, Prior Authorizations, Continued Stay Reviews, Discharges, Incident Reports, etc.
• Monitor staff authorizations and address unbillable events.
• Perform chart audits to ensure requisite documents are present.
• Provide notices to staff when paperwork or case extensions are due or missing.
• Process time-sensitive records requests.
