Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program.
• 1–3 years of library experience involving technology and public services.
• Familiar with a broad range of electronic databases and web technologies.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly; experience managing subscriptions or database contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 20 hours per week of professional reference desk services.
• Assist with desk scheduling, training, and cross-training; cover for Reference Services Manager when needed.
• Manage annual database contracts, renewals, invoices, and usage statistics.
• Participate in collection development, budgeting, acquisitions, and weeding of materials.
• Assist patrons with library computers, e-resources, mobile devices, and downloadable materials; provide instruction.
