Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks a Community Reentry Support Staff to join the Department of Safety. This role supports a 24/7/365 operation, performing headcounts, searches, and monitoring participant well-being while applying evidence-based practices and trauma-informed approaches.

Successful candidates must meet background requirements and may need CPR, AED, Naloxone, and First Aid certifications. The position offers competitive benefits and a path for growth with the city.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is helpful.
  • Two years of higher education or equivalent experience preferred, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine headcounts and facility walk-throughs for safety and searches.
  • Monitor participants' well-being and report observations to care teams.
  • Oversee sign-in/sign-out processes and track movement.
  • Administer urine drug screenings professionally and accurately.
  • Monitor and document medication usage per procedures.
  • Use behavior-change techniques to support rehabilitation and risk reduction.
  • Engage with participants using gender-responsive and trauma-informed approaches.
