State of Oregon, Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, seeks a Correctional Release Counselor, Entry Level Option. The role specializes in advancing rehabilitation, conducting daily AIC interviews, and coordinating release plans with a multi-disciplinary team.

The position emphasizes risk/needs assessments, housing and employment referrals, and maintaining confidentiality. Underfill options exist with salary ranges aligned to the lower classification.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science, criminal justice or related field with major coursework in behavioral science; AND two (2) years of professional counseling experience.
• Three (3) years of experience in a social service, rehabilitative, or correctional program with primary responsibility for guiding and/or counseling individuals or groups; AND two (2) years of professional counseling experience.
• Master’s degree in a behavioral science or criminal justice AND one (1) year of professional counseling experience.

Responsabilidades

• Set the stage for rehabilitation and elicit motivation for change in each Adult in Custody (AIC).
• Conduct daily one-on-one interviews and assessments to determine custody classification and gate clearance.
• Provide intensive and intermediate case management based on risk to recidivate and special needs.
