Job summary

The Kentucky Department of Corrections is seeking a Reentry Coordinator in Lexington to plan, coordinate, and facilitate prerelease services for offenders returning to the community. You will work with community partners and state agencies to ensure safe and successful transitions.

Ideal candidates have strong planning and communication skills, the ability to multitask, and experience in corrections or related social services.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Two years of professional experience in corrections, law enforcement, probation, parole, juvenile justice, social work or related field.
Substitution: Graduate study can substitute for experience.
Substitution: Military experience can substitute for required education.
Must be 21 years of age.
Travel may be required within the region and to Frankfort.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate prerelease services such as home placement and transportation for medical appointments.
Assist with program and treatment plans related to risk and needs assessment of offenders.
Enhance community involvement by connecting offenders with providers post-release.
Host prerelease events to provide resources and services for release.
Attend and participate in local reentry councils.
Prepare monthly reports.
Maintain files according to ACA standards.
