Job summary

Qualifications

• No substitution of education for specialized experience.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
• Experience with correctional programs and dealing with inmates and staff.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing correctional services operations related to procedures and security requirements.
• Leading or developing training sessions for executive staff.
• Evaluating controls within a correctional environment to meet security requirements and discipline procedures.
• Developing policy statements, manuals, and program evaluations for correctional services.
• Conducting complex investigations and understanding investigative practices and procedures.
• Establishing training and liaison services aligned with policies within a correctional environment.
