Job summary

City and County of San Francisco is seeking a REENTRY DIVISION LEADERSHIP & SYSTEMS ALIGNMENT Manager II to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, program development, and systems coordination for SFAPD’s Reentry Division. This senior role requires extensive leadership, advanced program design, and the ability to resolve complex issues with significant independent judgment.

Under the Deputy Director of Prevention and Restorative Services, you will lead multi-program initiatives,

Qualifications

• Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years full-time equivalent experience in Reentry Services.
• Substitution: may substitute up to 2 years of education for Bachelor’s degrees with additional years of experience.
• Desirable qualifications include supervisory experience, master’s degree, and experience in public sector reentry services.

Responsibilities

• Manages complex programs and strategic projects aligning with departmental priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Develops and implements new programs and service-delivery models responding to evolving needs.
• Provides leadership and managerial oversight to staff; supervises, coaches, and evaluates personnel.
• Works with executive leadership to develop goals, policies, and strategies for the Reentry Division.
• Maintains strong, confidential records handling in accordance with laws and policies.
• Leads organizational change efforts and strengthens cross-agency coordination.
• Develops strategic partnerships with community-based organizations and city departments.
• Monitors legislation affecting probation, reentry, and public safety; recommends implementations.
