Job summary

State of Vermont’s Corrections department is seeking a Corrections Services Specialist II to supervise incarcerated individuals in a correctional facility and support their eventual return to the community when eligible.

The role requires collaboration with probation offices, courts, and other state agencies to secure services, programming, and classifications, with potential evening/weekend shifts and field travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years or more as a CSS I.

Responsibilities

• Supervise incarcerated individuals in a correctional facility.
• Assist with preparing for release and coordinating services.
• Coordinate with probation offices, courts, law enforcement and other agencies.
• Make referrals for programming and classifications.
