Job summary

Transport Refrigeration, Inc. in De Pere, WI is seeking an experienced Reefer/T trailer technician. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King units, APUs, diesel heaters, and truck A/C systems, with occasional trailer work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent technical experience.
• Valid, unrestricted driver''s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required tools, including a toolbox and appropriate hand and specialty tools.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, professional, and safety-focused work habits.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King and other transport refrigeration units.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and mechanical repairs.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, refrigeration systems, electrical components, and controls.
• Service and repair APUs, diesel-fired heaters, and auxiliary power systems.
• Diagnose and repair truck cab air conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, testing, and component replacement.
• Complete accurate service documentation and work orders.
• Meet standard repair times while maintaining quality and safety.
• Participate in road service calls and an on-call rotation as required after training.
• Inspect trailers and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair trailer brakes, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Repair trailer doors, floors, and other components.
• Assist with structural repairs, welding, and fabrication.
• Help maintain safe, clean, and organized shop operations.
