Job summary

Transport Refrigeration, Inc. (TRI) in Madison, WI is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician to diagnose, service, and repair Thermo King transport refrigeration systems on trucks and trailers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent technical experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with Thermo King equipment preferred; comparable reefer experience welcome.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair Thermo King transport refrigeration systems on trucks and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on refrigeration systems.
• Identify electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Service and repair APUs and diesel-powered heaters.
• Diagnose and repair truck cab A/C and HVAC systems.
• Complete repairs safely with proper service documentation and maintain a clean work area.
• Participate in on-call rotation and road service calls after training.
• Utilize OEM diagnostic software and shop tools to complete repairs.
