Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a Senior Transportation-oriented technician to support Reefer Department operations in a fast-paced Miami terminal. The role involves inspecting and preparing refrigerated containers, assisting with agriculture inspections, and supporting mechanics with maintenance tasks while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The candidate should be able to read, write, and speak basic English, obtain a TWIC card, and achieve forklift certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English.
• Must be able to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic equipment.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain TWIC card within 30 days of employment.
• Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip cleaning and washing of reefer containers, including debris removal.
• Inspect containers for damage, cleanliness, and serviceability; report deficiencies as needed.
• Assist with plugging/unplugging reefer containers per procedures; support mechanics.
• Assist with agriculture inspections and maintain a safe, organized work area.
• Operate a forklift to handle containers and transport parts as needed.
