Job summary

APM Terminals Elizabeth is seeking a Reefer Manager to lead all refrigerated cargo operations and maintenance across the terminal. You will ensure safe, reliable, and compliant temperature-controlled handling while coordinating with multiple teams to meet customer requirements.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, KPI tracking, and data-driven decisions using reefer monitoring platforms and Power BI. In-office presence at Elizabeth, NJ is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering or operations field.
• Experience in reefer operations, container handling, or asset management.
• Strong leadership and safety-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all reefer operations and maintenance across the terminal, ensuring safe, reliable handling of temperature-controlled cargo.
• Oversee PTI, reefer monitoring, temperature control, fault diagnostics, repairs, and emergency responses.
• Coordinate with Operations, Planning, Vessel Operations, Yard, Rail, and Customer Service to ensure uninterrupted reefer services.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs and drive reliability improvements.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, CBP, FDA, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
