Job summary

Transport Refrigeration, Inc. (TRI) in Oak Creek, WI is seeking experienced Reefer and Diesel Technicians to diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration units and related systems on the 1st shift.

The role offers paid training, Thermo King certi‑tech development, and opportunities for career advancement within a growing Thermo King dealership. You will work on diesel engines, electrical and HVAC systems, APUs, and related components, with on‑the‑job coaching and access to industry

Qualifications

Several years of professional technician experience preferred.
Experience as Reefer, Diesel, Trailer, or Heavy‑Duty Technician.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Valid driver's license required.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
Ability to obtain and maintain technician tools.
Safety-focused and dependable.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration units.
Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs.
Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, and refrigeration systems.
Service and repair APUs and diesel-powered heaters.
Diagnose and repair truck cab A/C and HVAC systems.
Perform electrical troubleshooting and component replacement.
Respond to road service calls and participate in on-call rotation after training.
Use OEM diagnostic software, test equipment, and shop tools.
Complete repairs within standard repair times while maintaining safety and quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service environment.
