Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Student Financial Services at the South Lake Union Campus, this temporary position is the primary contact for students, prospective students, and family members regarding both Financial Aid and Student Account related questions. This position provides customer services and counseling for both financial aid and student account related activities and contact may take place over phone, in person, via email or virtual video appointments.
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of two years of experience working in a Financial Aid/Student Account office, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Demonstrated commitment to strong customer services and the ability to resolve wide-ranging complex problems through creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause and the resolution to the problems in an effective, innovative, and timely manner. Applicant must possess the skills to counsel individuals and families in financial aid and student accounts matters and work both independently and cooperatively with other staff members and other departments. Desktop PC, ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite experience are required. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, orally and by preparing reports and other materials.
This is a hybrid position in the SLU Main Campus Center on the third floor. Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. Phone hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. Time commitment is anywhere between 25-30 hours per week. This position is temporary from October 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
$27.73 per hour
Positions designated as hybrid eligible may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of an introductory period of 3–6 months. In these cases, the role typically begins fully on campus to support onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter. Positions designated as on-site are not eligible for hybrid work and are expected to remain fully on campus. All flexible work arrangements are subject to periodic review and may be modified or discontinued at any time by the university’s discretion.
