Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a seasoned penetration tester to safeguard national critical systems. You will lead hands-on assessments, craft test plans, and execute stages from footprints to privilege escalation across networks, apps, and endpoints.

The role requires deep offensive security expertise, DoD-aligned certifications, and the ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret eligibility. Onsite in the Dahlgren, VA area with comprehensive Booz Allen benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Experience with Penetration Testing (PENTEST), Red Team Operations, tool development, exploits/malware, C2, reverse engineering, and bug bounties.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of common pentest tools: Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike.
• Ability to debug and reverse engineer software.
• IAT Level II DoD 8570.01 or successor.
• Must be able to obtain OSCP/OSCE/SANS certifications within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform penetration tests of networks, applications, web apps, servers, endpoints, wireless, and mobile tech.
• Conduct physical security testing to exploit vulnerabilities and bypass controls.
• Provide vulnerability scans, RMF artifacts, and WSUS/GPO assessments to identify inconsistencies.
• Analyze network traffic with tools like Wireshark and tcpdump to detect anomalies.
