Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience as a job developer.
• Existing transferable job bank of appropriate employers.
• Ability to develop new employer partnerships.
• Ability to make 60+ job placements per year.
• Experience working with individuals in mental health/substance abuse recovery and homelessness preferred.
• High level of writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel within NYC boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement job development strategies to place 60+ individuals per year.
• Build and maintain a strong network of employers in Red Hook and surrounding Brooklyn.
• Develop new employer partnerships aligned with participant needs.
• Identify and match participants with full-time, part-time, entry-level, skilled, and career-track roles.
• Maintain a diverse job bank of local and NYC opportunities.
• Provide referrals, placement support, and follow-up through hiring decisions.
• Document job development, referrals, placements, and outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with Career Counselors and Employment Specialists during team meetings.
