Job summary

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Red Hat Linux Engineer to join the team in Quantico, VA.

The successful candidate will apply Red Hat Linux expertise to design and implement the ACAS solution for GEN, operating and maintaining the Linux infrastructure and providing training to operators and IA personnel. The role requires DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM II certifications and extensive experience with RHEL and virtualization, including vSphere.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT III or IAM II certification required.
• 7+ years of Linux (RHEL) experience in enterprise environments.
• RHEL 8.x or greater and virtualization with vSphere/ESXi.
• Strong SSH troubleshooting and patch management (RPM).
• Experience with STIGs, security hardening, and SSL/TLS concepts.
• Knowledge of Ansible, NASL scripting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and patch operating systems and apply STIGs for ACAS.
• Assess ACAS implementations for GEN networks and recommend changes.
• Document design steps including IP, FQDN, location.
• Create network diagrams with Visio and list hardware/software.
• Maintain Nessus scanners, PVS connectivity with Security Center.
• Develop or update SOPs for ACAS solutions and provide reports.
• Build Linux server from provided ISO.
