Job summary

Coca-Cola Bottlers (CONA Services) is seeking a Lead Dispatcher to plan and schedule a fleet of trucks, trailers, and drivers to maximize productivity, service levels, and revenue.

You will collaborate with regional managers, facility managers, and drivers to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist dispatchers on the assigned shift and handle service issues.
• Coordinate with customer service and operations to ensure on-time service.
• Monitor drivers and equipment using Samsara to optimize loads.
• Ensure loads are closed out in TMW and drivers are prepared.
• Support Area Manager with planned routes and handle issues.
• Communicate load changes to planners and customers professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Lead Dispatchers are expected to execute the plan, route, and schedule for an assigned fleet of trucks, trailers, and drivers to ensure optimum productivity, service levels, and revenue. They must understand and meet the needs of our customers and drivers.

SHIFT: Wed, Thur, Friday and every other Saturday 4 AM - 4 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service to the CCC and establishes a good working relationship with each regional general manager, facility manager, planner, driver manager, and drivers. This position will lead and assist the dispatchers on their assigned dispatch shift. Will take the lead on all service issues, including driver accidents, call outs and coverage of open routes.
• Communicates with customer service and operations personnel to cover service issues to promote on-time service and eliminate empty miles.
• Ensures optimal driver, unit utilization, and performance through effective load adjustment by monitoring active drivers and equipment via Samsara.
• Ensures drivers are contacted and report to work promptly and have accurate information to start and complete their day.
• Ensures all loads are closed out in TMW, whether completed through auto-dispatch or manual and that drivers understand and utilize Samsara.
• Assists drivers with day-to-day operational and personal challenges (system, customer, equipment, and environment).
• Assist Area Manager in completing the planned routes provided by planning team. Support the teammates in the CCC with handling of issues that arise throughout their assigned shift.
• Notifies planner, and customer service of all loads that are moved back to an “available status,” answer the phone, and communicate via email in a professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned
