Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Energy & Environment Cabinet seeks a Recycling Technician I in Frankfort, KY. This full-time role, pay grade 09, is eligible for overtime and works 37.5 hours per week.

You will assist in collection, processing, and marketing of recyclable materials from state offices, operate a 20-foot box truck under supervision, and maintain records and equipment. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to lift heavy objects and work in

• Experience, training, or skills: NONE.
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE.
• Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in recycling programs may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in collection, processing and marketing of recyclable paper and cardboard from state offices, operating a 20 ft box truck under supervision.
• Maintains proper handling, security and destruction of confidential records (medical, income tax, law enforcement, financial, personnel).
• Completes recycling operations documentation (chain of custody logs, manifest, bill of lading, cart loan agreements).
• Operates and performs routine maintenance on baling/shredding/recycling equipment and warehouse gear under supervision.
• Keeps warehouse areas, vehicles and equipment clean and organized on a daily basis.
