Job summary

PeopleReady is hiring Recycling Sorters in Portland, ME to join our team at the South Portland branch. You will clean and maintain the recycling yard, safely remove materials, and help load recyclables for shipment.

This role supports fast-paced operations with attention to safety and efficiency. We offer next-day pay, flexible long- or short-term assignments, and a mobile-app-driven application experience via JobStack.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in recycling yard preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deposit recoverable materials into chutes or place them on conveyor belts.
• Operate balers to compress recyclable materials into bundles or balers.
• Use machines to load items onto trucks for shipment to other recycling facilities.
