Job summary

Copperas Cove is seeking a supervisor for residential and commercial recycling operations to support planning, organizing, and directing recycling services in accordance with MSW rules and city ordinances.

You will supervise collection teams, monitor equipment, ensure safety, and collaborate with facilities and agencies. A strong emphasis is placed on reporting, regulatory compliance, and customer service within municipal operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Three (3) years’ experience in solid waste operations required; at least one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Preferred valid State Class "B" CDL Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead recycling staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Oversee collection, sorting, processing, and disposal of recyclables per guidelines and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and City ordinances.
