Job summary

Reliance One, Inc. has a direct hire opportunity for a General Manager in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

You will oversee recycling and material-processing operations, lead divisional managers, and align safety, quality, and financial performance with strategic goals. Candidates must have 3–5 years of operational leadership in recycling or related industries, experience with budgets, KPIs, and regulatory compliance, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operational management experience overseeing multiple divisions in recycling or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of recycling plant operations and high-speed industrial environments.
• Experience with DOT and OSHA requirements, permits, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to coach and develop operational managers and staff.
• Experience managing budgets and operational KPIs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize daily operations across recycling and material-processing facilities.
• Lead divisional managers and ensure safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Develop and execute operational strategies with senior leadership.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets, resources, and financial performance.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and reporting related to operations.
• Support bids and grant projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
