Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Recycling Center Lead Maintenance Technician in Jacksonville, FL. The role leads a team of technicians to ensure repairs and preventive maintenance on recycling equipment, compact heavy equipment, and light trucks are performed safely and efficiently.

You will diagnose complex electromechanical issues, coach junior technicians, and schedule work to minimize downtime while complying with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Directs technicians to complete repairs and preventive maintenance safely and on schedule.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems on recycling equipment, heavy and light vehicles, and related systems to minimize downtime.
• Maintains and updates work orders and reports via the company system.
• Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic, electrical, and PLC systems as needed.
