Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Recycle Technician in Sterling Heights, MI. You will collect, sort, and recycle materials while maintaining a clean dock and adherence to safety policies.

You’ll work with a team, log activities, and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items, with emphasis on professional conduct and customer service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with recycling experience, plus possible certifications ( CPR/First Aid, forklift, hazardous

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent combination of training and experience - preferred
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus; may be required to have a valid driver’s license
• Forklift certification may be required
• Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA may be required

Responsibilities

• Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials
• Inspect and sort materials
• Maintain dock and collection areas
• Work with multiple collection containers
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintain logs and schedules
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and importance of the environment
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
