Job summary

Yazoo Mills, Inc. is seeking a Recut Setup Operator for our Plant 2 facility in Hanover, PA, on the 2nd shift. The role focuses on setting up recutting machines to cut cores and ensuring products meet specifications.

You will read production orders, measure tolerances with calipers, and communicate results. The position requires 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and proficiency with tape measures.

Qualifications

• High school education/GED.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience with prior machine operation and set up experience.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set-up recutting machines to cut cores into smaller lengths for industry.
• Read and understand spec sheet and production orders to set-up machines correctly to produce a quality product.
• Measuring, calipering, and checking the overall quality of the tolerances per spec sheet.
• Understanding all machine operations to cut the product to spec sheet/customer specifications.
• Identifying quality deficiencies and ability to identify and perform corrective action.
• Ability to communicate finished product on production order.
• Comply with safety regulations/procedures and maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and other essential tasks assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist throughout the work day.
