Job summary

Yazoo Mills, Inc. is seeking a Winding Operator for our Hanover Plant 2 facility on the 2nd shift. You will operate spiral winders and cut-off saws, following spec sheets to fill customer orders and ensure quality.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma/GED and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience. The job requires physical capability to lift 50 lbs and work in a safety-conscious environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand spec sheets and production orders to set up machines correctly.
• Measure, caliper, and check overall quality of tolerances per spec sheet.
• Understand all machine operations to cut product to spec sheets/customer specs.
• Operate machines efficiently to minimize waste.
• Analyze packaging and make adjustments as needed.
• Identify quality deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate finished product status on production orders.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop and twist during shift.
• Thread winders to produce quality cores with various paper layers.
• Perform Snake Lace technique to secure tubes for transport.
• Tie bundles, pack boxes, and stand products for shipment.
