Preble Street is seeking a Caseworker for the Recuperative Care Program in Portland, ME. This full-time, first-shift role supports recovery for clients discharged from hospital care within a 15-bed, trauma-informed setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and experience with homelessness services. Competitive benefits accompany a $23.82 hourly rate with a $1 differential after 7pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Experience or relevance to direct services for people experiencing homelessness.
• Ability to maintain documentation and work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Support and facilitate continued recovery of clients in the Recuperative Care Program.
• Provide direct services and maintain a safe environment in the 24/7 facility.
• Ensure staff coverage and perform comprehensive case management.
