Job summary

The Department of Service and Civic Innovation (DSCI) in Annapolis invites applications for a Maryland Corps/Service Year Option Recruiter. The role focuses on building awareness statewide through school outreach and engaging with prospective Members, families, and champions at in-person events.

You will travel to high schools, job centers, and community organizations, meeting daily recruitment targets and guiding applicants through the matching process.

Qualifications

• Public speaking experience to include giving presentations.
• Experience in job placement/recruiting, youth programming, non-profit outreach, or community engagement/grassroots organizing.
• Experience engaging multiple stakeholders to drive program participation.

Responsibilities

• Recruit Maryland Corps/Service Year Option Members through in-person events, school visits, and targeted outreach to meet participation targets.
• Support applicants through the application and matching process with accuracy and professionalism.
• Connect with schools, workforce organizations, and partners to advance the MC/SYO program and secure resources.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to support host sites, funding, training, and partnerships.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support agency priorities and events.
