Job summary

The Nagler Group in Westbrook, Maine is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to strengthen their team, support staffing growth, and develop recruitment strategies while collaborating with HR, Marketing, and department leaders to ensure a positive candidate experience and equitable hiring practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Prior experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, marketing, or a social-service environment.
  • Understanding of employment practices, hiring compliance, confidentiality, and appropriate recruitment documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively promote opportunities and engage candidates.
  • Strong organizational and relationship-building abilities with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking or recruiting technology; ability to quickly adapt to new systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update position descriptions in partnership with department leaders to ensure roles are clearly and accurately represented.
  • Assist with market and compensation research to help maintain competitive and appropriate salary offerings.
  • Write and distribute compelling job postings across internal and external recruitment channels.
  • Identify, engage, and evaluate candidates using structured, consistent, and legally compliant selection practices.
  • Plan and execute recruitment campaigns utilizing job boards, social platforms, digital advertising, community outreach, career events, and other appropriate sources.
  • Establish and maintain connections with colleges, workforce development organizations, professional associations, referral networks, and community-based organizations.
  • Oversee day-to-day use of the applicant tracking system, including data integrity, user support, recordkeeping, reporting, and analysis of recruiting activity.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and hiring leaders to ensure recruitment and selection activities align with applicable employment requirements and agency policies.
  • Contribute to initiatives designed to improve employee retention, professional development, mentorship, supervisory capabilities, and internal career advancement.
  • Represent the agency at recruitment events, committees, community activities, and other organizational initiatives as needed.

Recruitment Specialist

Our client is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to help strengthen their team and support ongoing staffing and organizational growth. This role will develop recruitment strategies, connect with prospective candidates, and collaborate with Human Resources, Marketing, and department leaders to ensure a positive candidate experience and consistent, equitable hiring practices. The position also contributes to broader employee engagement and retention initiatives.
